The Norfolk Deli is looking for the county's top amateur marmalade makers.

The Norfolk Deli has just launched its second annual Norfolk Marmalade Making Awards, and now owners Rosie and Mark Kacary are asking keen preserve makers in the county to get out their wooden spoons and cause a stir.

The awards (taking place at the Hunstanton-based deli on March 31) will see judges sampling customers' wares, with Rosie saying the competition was very close in 2017.

'We had over 30 entries last year. There was everything from traditional Seville orange maramalade as well as more exotic flavour combinations. It made the judging very difficult.'

Last year the deli was supported by award-wining world marmalade champion Ali Barwick of Seasons Bounty, whose products are found througout the store. 'We are delighted that she will be joining us again this year,' says Rosie. 'And we are delighted to say at that local Hunstanton cook shop You Cook is supporting the event by stocking up on all the equipment needed to make marmalade.'
