Plans are in place to convert a Grade II listed chapel into a new home in Aylsham.
Lynda Phelan has applied to Broadland District Council for change of use permission for the Emmanuel Church, on White Hart Street.
The chapel was built in 1790 and became associated with Cawston Road Brethren Chapel in 1993.
A heritage statement included in the planning application states the congregation of the two churches came together at the Brethren Chapel from 1993, leaving the White Hart Street chapel 'less used' and in recent years, 'vacant'.
There had been proposals to turn it into a cinema, but these plans were never realised and it was sold to its present owner in 2015.
The application states the main chapel space will be preserved and the proposal aims to 'minimise effects and intervention' to respect the building's former use.
