And the production has sparked memories of a previous shwo 47 years ago.

Gimingham villagers are staging Cinderella-on-a-Shoestring at the village hall this weekend for three nights.

Show writer and co-director Roger Burford said: 'We aimed to stage our show for next-to-nothing, hence the title.

'But we're very grateful for sponsorship from our parish council towards meeting the cost of items that we were unable to borrow or make ourselves.

'It's been hard work but great fun too and we hope to raise a substantial sum which will go towards village hall funds.'

One spin off from the show was a picture that had come to light showing the cast of the last village panto which was directed by the Rev Garth Norman - and was also a production of Cinderella.

Organisers are wondering how many people can identify the young people in the old photograph.

The new show is being performed on march 26, 27 and 28 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are on sale from Jupe in Station Road, Mundesley or can be reserved by calling 01263 720629.

If you can identify the cast members in the old picture email nnn.letters@archant.co.uk or write to Letters, North Norfolk News, 31 Church Street, Cromer, NR27 9ES.
