A report to West Norfolk councillors says drivers are damaging cobble stones outside St Margaret's Church in King's Lynn.
They'll be asked to agree a proposal to include the area next to the historic church in the parking order covering the Saturday Market Place, when they meet on April 28.
The report says including the cobbled area next to the church would allow the council to stop people parking on the cobbles, preventing further damage.
Pay and display parking operates on the Saturday Market Place.
