John edits three local newspapers and websites in Cambridgeshire, the Cambs Times, Ely Standard and the Wisbech Standard.
He has been a journalist for several decades and edited his first weekly newspaper in Oxford.
For the past 20 years Fenland has been his patch, where he now lives.
He has a passion for local newspapers, and believes they remain vital in a fast changing world. Holding public bodies to account remains, he believes, an important element of his work.
