Heritage Open Days at Diss Corn Hall will feature guided tours, old photographs and children's activities from Friday, September 7, to Saturday, September 8, 11am-4pm. Free entry.
Diss Corn Hall is a grade II-listed classical hall built in 1854, and is believed to be the last corn exchange in England to be used for its original purpose.
Over the two days there will be guided tours of the building – including the council chamber (previously a magistrates' court), the retiring room and a holding cell – as well as old photographs on display and children's activities.
Also opening in Diss, as part of the annual Heritage Open Days, will be the historic horse medicine and printing business, Francis Cupiss, with its 1830 Columbian Eagle press still in use, and Diss Museum will have extended opening hours.
