Kentwell Hall, Long Melford, near Sudbury.

Lambing days begin on Saturday, March 17 and visitors can see lambs at Kentwell daily through the Spring, 11am-4pm.

Kentwell's flock of rare-breed Norfolk Horn sheep give birth in the Tudor Stables, and once they are a few days old the lambs will be skipping around the lawns in front of the Hall. It's a beautiful spring sight, and there is plenty more to explore at Kentwell too.

Lambing season is underway with newborn lambs to cuddle and bottle feed. Plus plenty more baby animals.

The National Trust has flocks of sheep and lambs on its land at Ickworth and Orford Ness.

At Ickworth 2,000 newborn lambs should be born this spring, and on Orford Ness a shepherd looks after a flock of 100 sheep with his sheepdog Kite.

Melsop Farm Park, Ellingham Road, Scoulton, near Watton.

There are lots of lambs to see this spring, with several different breeds of sheep at the farm including the Norfolk Horn, Hungarian Screw-Horn and Ouessant, the smallest sheep in the world whose lambs are exceptionally tiny and cute. Other farm residents include cattle, goats, pigs and chickens.

Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm Baylham House Farm, Mill Lane, Baylham, near Ipswich.

Lambs are just some of the attractions at this animal-packed farm which is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am-5pm, as well as Bank Holiday Mondays. Its Easter Speggtacular runs from March 30 to April 2 and includes the chance to cuddle new lambs, or even see one being born.

Wroxham Junior Farm, Wroxham Barns, Hoveton.

The fluffy wonders arrive from local farms and visitors can help staff bottle-feed these orphaned lambs. Feeding sessions take place every day at 11am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm. There are also plenty more animals to see, cuddle, groom and feed as well as indoor play and crafts.

See tiny lambs, alongside pigs, cows, chickens, goats and huge Suffolk Punch horses. Pony rides are included in the ticket price.

Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse Museum of Norfolk Life, near Dereham.

The animals on the farm are all East Anglian breeds which would have been common on local farms a century ago, including Norfolk Horn, Suffolk and Southdown sheep – as well as cows, horses, chickens, turkeys and pigs. Tour the workhouse, museum, gardens and grounds too.

Felbrigg Hall Farm, near Cromer.

See newborn lambs, and possibly even sheep lambing, at farm open days over the whole of the Easter Bank Holiday weekend and on April 7 and 8. National Trust tenant farmers Graham and Wendy Williams give visitors the chance to see their lambs, plus cows and calves, day-old chicks, goats and old fashioned tractors.
