Sounds of the sixties showcased at the Marina

A tribute show to an iconic female artiste is featured in this week’s line-up at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft.
But before that, the week begins with The Magic of the Beatles at 7.30pm on Friday, May 25.
The stars of this lavish production not only look and sound like John, Paul, George and Ringo, they also generate the same incredible excitement and unique sense of humour too.
This production brings you all the famous hits – including Love Me Do, She Loves You, Please Please Me, From Me To You, Help, I Feel Fine, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Hey Jude, Let It Be and so many more.

Attention then turns to Dusty and the Shades of the 60s – celebrating the life and music of the legendary Dusty Springfield.
The show, at 7.30pm on May 26, covers an incredibly successful decade for Dusty featuring the songs I Only Want to be With You, You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me, Son of a Preacher Man and much more.
The Shades of the 60s production takes the audience on a journey through the artists and writers who worked with Dusty over a career spanning three decades; including hits by Burt Bacharach, Carole King and Aretha Franklin with popular songs such as Say a Little Prayer and Downtown being performed.

Before the week comes to an end, there is a film to enjoy on the big screen.
That Good Night is a fond farewell to a much loved legend, starring John Hurt in his final leading role.
Set in the stunning hilltops of the Algarve coastline of Portugal, this life affirming drama is based on the stage play by NJ Crisp and is inspired by the poem by Dylan Thomas.
The film will be shown at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on May 28, 29, 30 and 31.
