He learned his craft whilst busking on the streets, and now Si Cranstoun is bringing his show to Cromer Pier.

The singer and musician known for appearances on television and BBC Radio 2 will perform a mix of doo-wop, rock 'n' roll and blues on Saturday, April 14.

Cranstoun's vocal style has been compared to the likes of Jackie Wilson and Sam Cooke.

His music is a blend of northern soul, rock and vintage pop, and some of his best tunes sounds like they could have been hits in the 1950s.

He spent 20 years as a street busker in London, and he once was given 30p by Tony Blair when he was prime minister.

Cranstoun also performed in The Dualers, a Ska band, along with his brother, Tyber.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 8pm and is called 'Twisting the night away' are £18 or £17 concession, available from 01263 512495 or via www.cromerpier.co.uk.
