A short film by a director from Norwich has garnered an impressive accolade at an international film festival.

The Titan's Eagle, which follows a 17th century alchemist who gets caught in a time loop, was named Best Period Piece at the Alternative Film Festival in Toronto.

The film was created by Norwich-based director, Matthew Stogdon of Cheesemint Productions, and starred Christopher Neal, Ben Allen, Moira hickson and Stuart Ashen.

Mr Stogdon said: 'The film was submitted to various festival around the world, the first one it was accepted to was the Alternative Film Festival held in Toronto, Canada.

He added: 'The cast and crew are all exceptionally proud of this achievement and we look forward to hopefully many more appearances and potential awards at other festivals globally.'
