If you are looking for fun for all the family this Easter then grab your raincoat for a splashing time at the Players Theatre in Lowestoft.
The B&B Young Peoples' Theatre Company began their latest run last night with a heartwarming and toe-tapping rendition of Hollywood classic Singin' in the Rain.
If you haven't seen the film, then all the better because you are in for a treat.
The glitzy musical set in the 1920s focuses on two silent movie actors whose lives change dramatically with the introduction of talking pictures.
Leading man Don Lockwood and the overbearing Lina Lamont are seen as Hollywood's golden couple, but nothing could be further from the truth. Their relationship is just for publicity and when Don meets Kathy Seldon, who has the voice of an angel and a heart of gold, all hell breaks loose.
Deaglan Devine, 18, plays Don Lockwood with gusto and comes into his own when performing the title song through sheets of rain, achieved by a spectacular amount of water pouring down from the top of the stage.
Joshua Parks, 15, is completely endearing as Cosmo Brown with his giddy disposition and comic timing.
Jamie Coleman and Camrin Chappell share the role of Lina, with Jamie taking on opening night. She plays the ditzy diva to perfection. Look out for the solo What's Wrong With Me - her shrill and screechy voice are a triumph.
The role of Kathy Seldon is played by both Amy Mullen-Brown and Evie Forsdicke. Evie kicked it off with her brilliant tap dancing and powerhouse vocals, and at just 14, she's a real find.
With a cast of 35 aged from six to 24, B&B gives Lowestoft's young rising stars a real platform to perform.
For some it was the first time in front of a live audience – and they didn't waste the experience.
Full of feel good songs such as Good Morning and Broadway Melody, dynamic tap dancing and powerful acting, it will make you want to grab the nearest umbrella and dance all the way home.
