On Friday the festival's director William Galinsky unveiled the new Norfolk and Norwich Festival nameplates on the repainted Class 90 locomotive owned by Abellio Great Anglia.

Jonathan Denby, head of corporate affairs for Abellio Greater Anglia, said : 'With its new nameplates and smart new livery it will continue to raise the profile of this fantastic cultural event to thousands of passengers travelling up and down the main line between Norwich and London every year.'

Mr Galinsky said: 'It's a symbolic and tangible reminder of the strong links that have been forged over the past 24 years between the festival and the region's railways, which helps to increase awareness of the festival to passengers along the line to London.'

As well as being the festival's principal travel partner, Abellio Greater Anglia also sponsored festival performances by the Philharmonia Orchestra and Madeleine Peyroux.
