People can have fun trying their hand at circus tricks galore in Norwich later this month.

The Oak Circus Centre, in Oak Street, is hosting a free open weekend on Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29 as part of the Circus250 festivities celebrating the 250th anniversary of circus.

On both days visitors can have a go at juggling, plate spinning, diablo, hula hooping and more, meanwhile in the early evening on the Saturday there will be a Community Cabaret featuring performances from current Oak Circus Centre students alongside professionsals, and resident circus company Lost in Translation will be presenting a preview of new show Inside Out.

People can take part in the I Spy Circus trail around churches run by Norwich Historic Churches Trust, and the trust will be giving tours of St Michael Coslany, the 15th century church that houses the Oak Circus Centre. Doors open at 9.30am on both April 28 and 29.

Doors open at 9.30am on both Saturday and Sunday. For full details and timings for the weekend, visit www.theoakcircuscentre.org/events/
