A father-and-son duo from Norfolk will be taking to the Britain’s Got Talent stage once again in tonight’s semi-final.
Jack and Tim Goodacre wowed judges in their first audition with their song The Lucky Ones and went straight through to the live shows after earning Simon Cowell’s golden buzzer.
The pair, from Eccles near Attleborough, said on Twitter yesterday: “Nervous and super excited train ride down to London for our semi-final appearance.
“We hope you enjoy our new music.”
In an earlier interview on This Morning they revealed they would be singing another original song for their semi-final performance.
Jack said: “In or out, I want to do it on my terms. I would hate to do a cover, we have to keep doing what we’re doing, prove we are not a one-off, we can do more.”
Prior to BGT, Jack, aged 12, had already appeared on The Voice Kids and starred in School of Rock in the West End. The pair are a familiar sight in Norwich where they often perform on the streets, Jack has previously been hailed as the city’s youngest busker.
The pair will be joined in tonight’s semi-final by daredevil Great Yarmouth circus performer Sascha Williams.
His audition – which was the very first on this year’s show – left the judges stunned. Simon Cowell said: “This has to be the most difficult acrobatic act we’ve seen on the show, I think your nuts!”
David Walliams described it as “the most thrilling two minutes we’ve ever had on Britain’s Got Talent.”
The Australian performer, who has appeared several times in the Hippodrome’s award winning productions, will be returning to the Yarmouth circus this summer.
Amy Marie Borg, Noel James, Baba Yega, Olena Uutai, Marty Butz and DVJ complete tonight’s semi-final which airs on ITV at 7.30pm.
