As the first ever Norfolk Day kicks off, two local businesses are prepared for a fun-filled day in the sun.

Richardson's Hemsby Beach and Richardson's Boating Holidays offer a breath of fresh-air for holidaymakers with their exclusive Norfolk Day offer.

The businesses are hosting a day out on the Broads beginning at the Stalham marina and a day dedicated to family fun at the Hemsby Beach holiday park.

Offering the best experience of the Broads for 70 years - the Hemsby Beach Holiday Park and Richardson's Boating Holidays jumped on board to celebrate Norfolk Day.

With more than 290 boats - they have been dubbed the largest operator on the Norfolk Broads.

Between 10am and 3pm on July 27, Richardson's will offer 10-15 minute taster trips on board the Platinum cruiser, Broadway.

To continue on the Norfolk Day celebrations, the Richardson's holiday park on Beach Road, Great Yarmouth, will have exclusive entertainment from X-Factor talent, Chico Slimani in their new show bar.

The day at the holiday park will offer a taste-test of what holidaying on Norfolk seaside is actually like.

With exclusive tours of what the destination has to offer on both kid-friendly and adult-only holidays - you will never want to leave Norfolk to go on holiday.

Adam Yardley, from the holiday business, said: 'Richardson's is sponsoring Norfolk Day because we think it is right to celebrate the county in which we live, work and play.'

The celebration at Hemsby Beach Holiday Park, will offer a free sample of chips from the Posh Plaice fish bar.

From 10am at the holiday park - the Go Active team will demonstrate some of the new and fantastic activities at the park.

The abundance of activities, which will include including archery, fencing, water walkers and zorbing will go until 12pm.

Hemsby Beach Holiday Park, a family-run company, aims to provide value for money holidays, and is supporting Norfolk Day alongside Woodfordes's Brewery in Woodbastwick.

Mr Yardley added: 'Norfolk Day is a chance for us to promote everything that is wonderful about Norfolk from the wonderful wildlife and nature.

'From the Broads National Park to the stunning sunrises and attractions on the Norfolk Coast and everything in between - it has it all.'

The holiday park recently underwent a £10m refurbishment for the 2018 holiday season.

Speaking about the development, Richardson's chief executive Greg Munford said: 'Our customers have always loved this location – it's a two-minute walk to miles of unspoilt beaches and a short distance to the Broads National Park.'

Richardson's Boating Holidays recently invested in a new fleet of £250,000 Broadsman cruisers.

These luxury liners come with ensuite bathrooms, satellite television, electric toilets and LED lighting.
