New community arts project launched in Norwich

A new community arts project is aiming to give more creative opportunities to people of all ages living in a part of Norwich.

Slow Theatre Company is leading the Jenny Lind Creative Community Arts Project which was launched at The Chapel, in Fellowes Plain, Wessex Street.

The project in the Town Close area will involve the creation of an original show, art exhibitions, masterclasses and after-school clubs and holiday activities for children.

Danny O’Hara, artistic director of Slow Theatre Company, said: “We are offering arts activities to bring people together, to strengthen a sense of connection and a sense of belonging. Through these activities we hope people will come together, get to know their neighbour and to show their imagination and creative expertise.”
