The annual event is in its sixth year, and raises funds to help local children who have been challenged by trauma in their lives such as sibling and parental bereavement.

Organiser Lou Hines said: “Since we began our journey we have managed to raise many thousands of pounds for Nature and Nuture and other local charities helping local children in need. Child services have been badly hit by funding cuts and it for us to make sure that all kids who need help can access it. More than anything though, this is great fun night of live music from great bands and every single penny raised goes to support local kids. You can’t get better than that.”

In addition to the four live bands visitors can ride on the steam driven fairground carousel, drink from the real ale bar sponsored by The Oakesmere and Park Hotel, and eat from the BBQ expertly run by Lou’s team of volunteer helpers.

Tickets can be bought locally from The Cock in in Diss or The Burston Crown, and in Bury St Edmunds from the Nutshell, the smallest pub in the UK, and from Community Workshop. Alternatively contact luanhines@tiscali.co.uk or call 07810005362.
