The countdown to Christmas is about to officially get underway in Cromer as the town prepares for its annual festive lights switch-on.
The seaside resort expects to welcome thousands of visitors including Father Christmas and his reindeer to the event on Saturday, December 2.
Andreas Yiasimi, who is helping to organise the festivities, said the lights switch-on was one of the highlights of Cromer’s calendar.
Mr Yiasimi said: “This event is magical. It emphasises the true meaning of Christmas.
“It brings the community together and there are so many things going on.”
Mr Yiasimi said many people aimed to make into town just for the switch-on itself, but there was so much happening throughout the day it was worth coming in earlier.
He said: “There are events throughout the day and sometimes people miss out on that because they just come for the switch-on.
“There will be Santa rides through the town, there’ll be reindeer, there’s a Christmas market and there’s a tree festival in the church leading up to switch-on day.
“There are not too many towns that put so much effort into something like this.
“This is a great family event for the town and something that really needs to be kept up.”

Mr Yiasimi said the event could only happen thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers who did everything they could to help Cromer shine.
The Christmas tree and Nativity festival at Cromer Church is on Wednesday and Thursday (November 29-30) 11am-4pm, Friday (December 1) 10am-5pm and Saturday (December 2) 10am-7pm.
Saturday’s Christmas market will take place at the church and in Cromer Parish Hall and along High Street, New Street and Garden Street 10am-7pm.
Santa and his reindeer will be outside the church from 11.30am before heading to his grotto at the parish hall from midday to 4pm.
Street entertainment including carol singing will be on 2pm-5pm.
The final count-down to the lights switch-on starts at 4pm. Santa will be joined on stage by the winner of the Christmas poster competition for the lights switch-on at 5.30pm.
