5 decadent and delicious ways to enjoy Creme Eggs in Norfolk this Easter

How do you eat yours? Creme Egg season is upon us and a range of cafes and chefs across the county have given the Easter classic a new twist. Here are some of the ways you can get your Creme Egg fix in Norfolk...
• Battered Creme Eggs
If you didn’t get your fill of battered mince pies at Christmas, fear not - there’s a new deep fried food trend to try this Easter. Eric’s Fish and Chips on the A149 coast Road at Drove Orchards, Thornham, will be offering customers battered Cadbury Creme Eggs in their restaurant. Launching on March 1, the treat is priced at £2 (to eat in or take away) and will be available until the end of April or while stock lasts.
• Creme Egg Brownies
Cupcake & Co on Upper St Giles Street is best known for its cupcakes, but owner Anne Falgate can also whip up a mean batch of brownies and is doing just that by offering customers creme egg brownies. Grab one (or four) before they’re gone!
• Chocolate Scotch Eggs
Biddy’s Tea Room on Lower Goat Lane have brought back their decadent Creme Egg scotch eggs for another year. These quirky treats feature a Creme Egg wrapped in a brownie and rolled in chocolate pieces. Do you think you could manage a whole one?
• Creme Egg Hot Chocolate
And Eat It on Norwich Market have created an array of Easter-themed treats this year, including Creme Egg Hot Chocolates - hot chocolates topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and Creme Eggs - and if that’s not enough, they’re also selling giant Creme Egg cookies.
• A Creme Egg in a glass
As part of the Assembly House’s Eggstraordinary Afternoon Tea, head chef Mark Mitson has designed his own take on the Cadbury treat. He calls it a Creme Egg in a glass and the concoction consists of mascarpone cheesecake and mango and passion fruit coulis.
