Halloween is just around the corner and there are creepy goings-on happening all over north Norfolk. Here are 10 of the spookiest events taking place in the area.
North Norfolk District Council is hosting a children's fancy dress Halloween trail at local beauty spot Holt Country Park.
Take a trail through the woods and learn all about how different creatures defend themselves against attack - their armour, tactics, strength and amazing abilities.
There will be prizes for the best fancy dress and a small prize for completing the trail.
The trail will be held on Tuesday, October 23. Tickets, priced £5 per child, are available from www.north-norfolk.gov.uk/book
Find out about some of the amazing creatures living in Sheringham Park on a Spider Safari running on October 22.
Look for the park's resident spiders in their natural habitat and get up close with some of your finds in the microscope lab.
The event, which includes a spider craft activity, runs from 10.30am-12.30pm and tickets, priced £5 (£3 children), are available from the visitor centre or from www.nationaltrust.org.uk/events
Hop aboard the Bure Valley Railway at Aylsham or Wroxham from October 20-28 for a week of spooky Halloween fun.
The attraction will be running a Spooky Express throughout the week, with a 'spot the spooky items' quiz, a colouring corner and a Halloween-themed spooky café.

There's 'trick or tweet' fun on offer at Pensthorpe Natural Park, near Fakenham, from October 18-28.
The award-winning attraction will be hosting a Halloween-themed extravaganza packed with spooky craft activities and a creepy-crawly trail through the ancient woodlands and wetlands of the reserve.
Discover the grim and gruesome side of nature, hear spooky tales from the Pensthorpe wardens and find creepy critters lurking around every corner.

Discover the magic of autumn on a Halloween trail at Holt Hall outdoor education centre on October 24.
The event, which is suitable for children aged from eight, includes orienteering trails, campfire cooking and woodland arts and crafts and runs from 10am-3pm. Tickets tickets, priced £25 are available by phoning 01263 713117.
Join BeWILDerwood's Glorious Glowing Lantern Parade and explore the attraction's enchanting woodland. The real fun begins at dusk, when the park will glow in a magical light extravaganza. Get creative and make a beautiful lantern in the Big Hat, wear your best spooky costume and visit the face painting pavilion.
The parade runs daily from October 13-31 and tickets, priced from £15.50 are available from www.bewilderwood.co.uk
Cromer Museum will be hosting a 'creepy Cromer' children's craft session on October 24. Youngsters aged four and upwards can make creepy Halloween decorations and listen to spooky stories. Tickets, priced £4.30 adults (£3.65 children, £15.10 family ticket), are available from the museum on 01263 513542.
You can also join the museum for a ghosts and legends walk on October 28 and listen to spine-chilling stories while you explore the Cromer's atmospheric landmarks. The walk runs from 6.45pm-8.30pm and tickets are priced £4 (£3 museums pass). To book, phone 01263 513543.
Sheringham Little Theatre is inviting people aged 14 and up to join local storyteller and actor Steve Banks for a ghost walk around the town on October 31 at 7.30pm.
Join Steve as he explores local myths, mysteries and legends and looks into the history of our love of frights and things that go bump in the night. Not for the faint-hearted, the walk promises to be a fright-night to remember.

Splash Leisure and Fitness Centre, Sheringham, will be hosting a Halloween pool party on October 27 from 5pm-6pm.
The pool will be dyed a creepy orange colour for the fun waterslide and waves session.
