Are lorries going to the Sweet Briar Industrial Estate and the chemical plant really going to use the NDR?

I hardly think that they are going to drive 12 miles to the start of the NDR at Postwick, drive a further seven or eight miles on the NDR - negotiating eight or nine roundabouts - and then drive back two miles towards the city on the A140 to join the outer ring road at the (traffic free) Boundary junction and on to Sweet Briar.

A journey of 20-plus miles from A47 Longwater using the NDR, instead of four miles using Dereham Road, is hardly cost-effective in time or money for any haulier.

Similarly, traffic approaching from the A11 and the South A140 will still find it quicker and cheaper to access Sweet Briar and the airport via the outer ring road, as they do now.
