Andrew Tullett wasn't the first to photograph every village sign in Norfolk.
I was interested to see the article on Andrew Tullett and his project of photographing Norfolk village and town signs.
READ MORE: One man's project to catalogue the county's biggest outdoor art galleryThe implication is that this a brand new idea. In fact, John Bacon photographed more than 450 Norfolk signs between his retirement to Norfolk in 1996 and his death in 1999.
Over 150 of his photographs, plus another 25 by Nicolette Hallett, with descriptions and history of the signs, can be seen in two books by the late John Timpson: 'On the Verge' (2000) and 'On the Verge 2' (2002), published by The Larks Press, founded and run by my wife Susan Yaxley, who died on November 16, 2016.
