Opinion: Where women could hide from men - but not any more

Opinion: Equality in everything is great, says Rachel Moore - until you need to go to the loo, maybe...
This week I realised I believed in equality in everything, apart from toilets.
My first experience of gender-neutral toilets was not a positive one and one I’d prefer not to repeat in a hurry.
The one advantage was there wasn’t the usual huge queue for the ladies so, logistically, it makes sense.
But loos are the one place women can go to get away from men on a night out, a sanctuary.
I don’t want my loos full of men who have had too much and have lost all sense of aim.
Men’s – especially drunk men’s - toilet etiquette is not conducive to sharing with women.
Colleagues joked if it was the leaving the seat up that annoyed me. If only they had, the experience might have been far more tolerable.
