I read with interest the article on the revitalisation of CAMRA in the paper recently. It is important for any organisation to keep itself up to date with what is happening around them and the desires of its members.
However, what has been tabled before them at the moment is unsatisfactory.

We are being asked to support “quality beers” without a definition provided.

So what are these mythical things. After all a well known brewer thinks that their lager is “Probably the best in the world”. Mmm. Some others might disagree.

Either way without a definition what is to stop the national executive allowing such a thing to happen.
This seems to be a rerun of the vote 18 months ago where clearly the right decision was not made and we are all to be given a second chance to get it right.

Personally I see it as the thin end of the wedge to allow keg beers to be promoted by CAMRA. Again personally I will be voting against the new resolutions and if the vote goes against me I shall immediately resign my membership and my post as Chairman of East Norfolk CAMRA.
I urge all members to look into the propositions and vote as they think is best. Don’t let it go through on the nod.
