Norfolk Food & Drink gains new local sponsor

An organisation that promotes the producers and retailers of Norfolk food and drink is set to receive “significant” backing from a new sponsor.
Set up in 2004, Norfolk Food & Drink (NFAD) has become established as a rallying point for foodie events and promotions across the county.
Now Cozens-Hardy solicitors is pledging a significant sum to become a headline sponsor of the organisation behind Norwich Food Festival, the Moveable Feast charity event and Proudly Norfolk, a group representing producers.
Sarah de Chair, chairman of the not-for-profit NFAD, said: “Over the years we have worked closely with Cozens-Hardy solicitors in Norwich; they have been sponsors of our Norwich Food & Drink festival and totally embraced what we do.
“Their involvement will make a huge difference to the running of NFAD – not only will they continue to support the Norwich Food & Drink Festival on June 18 next year, they will also be offering administration back-up which will be invaluable.”
She added: “We are extremely flattered now to have two very prestigious companies as headline sponsors Adnams and Cozens-Hardy, who believe in the ethos of our organisation and what we are trying to achieve within the county. We now feel we are in a great position going forward to 2018.”
Adnams, with a brand now recognised nationwide and with roots in Norfolk as well its home county of Suffolk, has agreed to continue its sponsorship next year.
Anna Farquharson, a Cozens-Hardy partner, said: “Cozens-Hardy has been proud to support a number of wonderful food and drink events in Norfolk over the past few years.
“Our long-standing involvement with Lloyd Addison’s Moveable Feast is a highlight each year for us, as is the hugely popular Norwich Food & Drink Festival, which we have sponsored for the past three consecutive years.
“We greatly value the relationship that we have built with Norfolk Food & Drink and the many opportunities that they have worked hard to present us with. It is a very natural progression for the firm to become joint headline sponsors of NFAD in 2018.
“We believe wholeheartedly in their ethos of supporting our local food and drink industry and of promoting it to as wide an audience as possible.”
