Archant

A rare L S Lowry pencil sketch to be auctioned at Aylsham this month is already attracting international interest.

Keys’ spring Fine Sale will see around 2,000 lots go under the hammer across three days from Tuesday March 20 to Thursday March 22.

Day One consists of Oriental items, glassware, and British and Continental ceramics - including an important collection of Lowestoft Porcelain with several very rare and valuable items.

Day Two of the sale will see silver, jewellery, clocks, watches, militaria, furniture and rugs go under the hammer, while the third day consists of a good selection of wines and spirits, along with the Fine Art section of the Sale.

One lot has got collectors across the UK and further afield excited: a 1961 pencil sketch by L S Lowry entitled ‘Tanker at Greenwich’, which has a pre-sale estimate of £15,000-£20,000.

You can find details of every lot in both forthcoming and past sales on the Keys website at www.keysauctions.co.uk.
