An event at the new Wells Maltings on Friday September 28 will provide an opportunity to learn about the process of creating the winner of the Wells Heritage Art Trail.
The Lifeboat Horse was sculpted by Rachael Long and has gathered huge public attention, and those attending Friday's event will be able to hear her experience of developing the work.
A short film titled 'The Making of the Lifeboat Horse' by Kellen Playford will also be played, which includes footage of Ms Long welding the artwork in her studio as well as the sculpture being carefully placed in Wells Harbour.
After the conversation, visitors will be able to walk the Heritage Art Trail with Ms Long and can also view the Handa Art Gallery collection called 'Connection'.
Tickets to the event cost £5 and it will begin at 11am. To reserve a place, contact the box office on 01328 839000 or go to the Visitor Information Centre in Wells Maltings.
