A man from Reedham has spent years compiling footage and photos to produce a film documenting the history of his village.

Keen amateur filmmaker, John Hipperson, put the film together using archive footage brought to life by fellow villager Chris Mutten, whose family have farmed in the village for four generations.

Reedham Reflections recounts village life between 1920 and 1950 and includes footage from the regatta, a village ploughing match, fetes on the school playing fields and New Year’s Eve celebrations at the rectory.

Photo collections and the Lord Nelson Hotel visitors’ book are also used in the film.

Mr Hipperson made the entirety of the film from his home in the village, with his 18-year-old granddaughter Asha providing the narration.

The DVD is available from Reedham Post Office for £10.

All proceeds will be donated to local charities after deduction of production expenses.
