Do you recognise this family?

A British solider, his wife and son have been included in a project to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.

The Army Children of the First World War was launched four years ago by The Army Children Archive as part of the First World War Centenary Partnership’s scheme to inspire people to connect with the lives and stories of the war.

The latest addition to their Faces and Families album is a picture of a soldier and his family, which was taken in Norwich.

Their names are unknown, but the image was captured at St Giles Studio, which belonged to Mrs G Swain.

In the shot, the mother wears a heart-shaped pendant, while the details of the father’s shoulder title are illegible.
