King’s Lynn Town Guides have introduced family-friendly worksheets to encourage more young people to take an interest in the town’s history.
The worksheets are suitable for children of all ages taking part in the historic town walk, starting at Saturday Market Place and ending in Tuesday Market Place.
Each worksheet includes a series of photographs of buildings and features along the route, with tasks ranging from a simple tick list of funny faces to questions of famous folks.
Town guides chairman Bob Price said: “With local history being part of the National Curriculum, this also represents an opportunity for parents to support their children’s awareness of King’s Lynn and an opportunity for schools to work with the Guides.”
The worksheets are available free of charge from the tourist information centre at the Custom House when booking an adult and a child walk.
