Gin lovers who had bought tickets to the Norwich Gin Festival this weekend have been left disappointed and frustrated after learning the event had been cancelled less than 24 hours before it was due to start.
Ticket holders were sent an email yesterday evening informing them of the sudden cancellation and today they learned that they would not be getting a refund.
Gin Festival Limited, which was trading as GinFestival.com, was placed into administration yesterday and stated in a Facebook post this morning that customers would have to contact their banks and PayPal to get the money back.
One Twitter user said the company had shown 'awful handling of the situation' while another asked, 'How can they do this?'
Some gin lovers had even booked hotels to attend the event, which was supposed to take place today, tomorrow and Sunday at St Andrew's Hall.
