The wedding season can be a stressful time for couples preparing to make their vows.

Many brides can find themselves with a list as long as their dress trains of things so organise.

The EDP Wedding Show at the Ivy House Country Hotel on April 12 hopes to take some of the planning worries away by showcasing everything a couple needs to make their day unforgettable.

Owner of Ivy House Adrian Parton, said there will be over 50 exhibitors highlighting their different skills and products.

There will be everything from cake baking to wedding cars spilling out of the country hotel and grounds for people to browse at their leisure.

Mr Parton added they normally see around 800 people come to the Wedding Show which lasts from 11am to 4pm.

He said: 'We have got a lot of space to host weddings and beautiful grounds for those weddings. It's a local oasis. We wanted to create something for the local community they can be proud of.'

Family jewellers Dipples, based in Norwich and Dereham, will be sponsoring the event and bringing a wide selection of wedding rings, diamond set bands and gift items.

Chris Ellis, the managing director of Dipples, said the jewellery is important to couples because 'it's one of the few things they get to keep on the day'.

Food may not be as lasting but many will agree tasty treats are essential to make the perfect wedding.

Sue's Sweet Sensations will be showcasing their chocolate fountain along with 'sweet table'.

They offer everything from pink wafers to pineapples to dip into the chocolate lava..

Another of the exhibitors set to give visitors a taster of their work is DJ Marcus Day.

Mr Day, who has over 20 years of experience, aims to help couples finish their special evening with a bang.

He said a wedding DJ, similar to a photographer, becomes part of the day itself so it always helps to meet people at wedding shows so they can get to know him.

The DJ will be bringing along part of his set including lighting and a part of the dance floor.

He said: 'This gives people the chance not just to picture what it will all look like, but to see it in person.'
