A equaliser deep into 10 minutes of injury-time cost Dereham what would have been a morale-boosting win at Aldiss Park.

Brentwood took the lead against the run of play in the 34th minute when a defensive mix-up enabled Tony Stokes to gain gain possession and score from 14 yards.

After the break a fierce 30 yard drive from Sam Borrer forced Brentwood keeper Brown into action and the Magpies came within inches of the equaliser when Rhys Logan's volley struck the post. Minutes later Joe Gatting's downward header from Danny Beaumont's cross was well saved but Gatting then fired Dereham in front on 66 minutes.

Ashley Jarvis made it 2-1 in the 76th minute when he climbed well at the far post to head home Ryan Crisp's superb cross. The visitors equalised in controversial circumstances when Tom Ranger netted in the 99th minute.
