A kitchen and bathroom retailer has closed, with competition from online blamed for causing a loss in trade.
Four jobs were lost at Town and Country Kitchens in King’s Lynn when it went into liquidation on September 26.
The family firm ran into trouble after struggling to contend with online retailers and losing key employees, according to business advisers Parker Andrews, whose insolvency practitioner Nick Cusack oversaw the liquidation.
The firm owed trade creditors around £49,000 when it went under but it was unlikely there would be sufficient funds in the business for a return to be reclaimed, Parker Andrews said.
The insolvency firm added the business had initially achieved small profits but due to small margins was unable to reduce prices to compete.
Town and Country was incorporated in 2010 and had its showroom on Bergen Way on the Lynn Industrial Estate.
