A team of 15 intrepid employees from Norfolk discount retailer QD have climbed three peaks in 24 hours to raise funds for EACH’s nook appeal, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The staff climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, raising £9,000 for the causes.

QD has raised more than £101,000 for their charity partner’s EACH, with refit manager choosing to fundraise for the NICU after his wife gave birth at just 24 weeks.

The team began training in March, and tackled 44km with a total ascent of 11,100 feet, and 460 miles of driving in between.

Simon Bacon, SAP operations manager at QD, said: “It was extremely painful at times but we’re a great team and pulled each other through. We were rewarded with views that will stay with us forever and donations for our charities that have humbled us all.”
