American fast food chain Taco Bell is launching in Great Yarmouth and now its location has been revealed.

The restaurant will be situated in the heart of Great Yarmouth’s town centre on Regent Road.

The site Taco Bell will move into was formerly occupied by popular restaurant and take-away service Spud-u-Like.

Town centre manager for Great Yarmouth, Jonathan Newman, is pleased to see the fast food chain coming to the town.

Mr Newman said: “I am really pleased to see a high profile, international brand like Taco Bell coming to Great Yarmouth. It is really good for the town.

“The chain offers people something different and provides them with another takeaway option. It is replacing an empty unit which is really good news.

The chain will be the first in Norfolk with the closest branches being in Essex.

The restaurants serve a variety of Tex-Mex foods that include tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos.

It is expected to open in mid December.

Holden is a name associated with the motor trade in Norfolk for 90 years. Motoring editor Andy Russell chats to current CEO Tim Holden, third generation in the family motor group, about how it has become a nationally-recognised driving force.

As diesel car registrations drop, more and more motorists are becoming aware of the benefits of hybrid cars and how easy they are to drive. Toyota’s pioneering role in hybrid technology means nearly half its total sales now combine petrol and electric power, says motoring editor Andy Russell.
