Ongoing strike action at a Norfolk university has caused an agricultural business event to be postponed.

The Brexit, Bees and the Brown Stuff event, focusing on topics of concerns for the agricultural community including the environment and business sustainability, was due to be held at the Enterprise Centre at UEA on Wednesday, March 14.

But the ongoing dispute between Universities UK (UUK) and the University and College Union (UCU) about proposed changes to pensions has led the event to be postponed until further notice.

Joint organisers UEA and Lovewell Blake say they are liaising with speakers to set a new date after the strike action has ended.

In a statement they said: “We apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience caused, and will make every effort to communicate further information about this event as it becomes available.”
