Keen bakers from a personal alarm company had their wooden spoons at the ready for an office cupcake day.

Lifeline 24 in Taverham raised more than £125 at the event for the Alzheimer's Society, to help fund more dementia helpline advisors.

Staff at the Future 50 company brought along their own tasty creations for the cake afternoon, with both sweet treats and savoury snacks gracing the tables.

There was a Great British Bake Off-style judging competition, in which customer service executive Jessie Matthews was named the winner.

Donations were also collected from other local businesses.

Managing director and founder Simon Budd said: 'At Lifeline24 we frequently hear stories about how our personal alarms have given reassurance in the home, helped someone in a time of need, and most importantly saved a life.

'It is therefore a cause close to our hearts to raise money for Alzheimer's Society.'
