The new boss of a yacht maker has said a recruitment drive is 'under way' to begin production at its Norfolk shipyards again after the firm went into administration.
Richard Hadida has said work has begun to fill jobs at Oyster Yachts' Wroxham and Southampton boatyards after he bought the company out of administration last month.
Mr Hadida, who made his fortune in the gaming industry, stepped in to buy the company on March 20 and has said he will seek to secure many of the jobs lost when the company collapsed in February.
In a statement on Twitter he said: 'We are already under way with our recruitment drive to begin production in our shipyards in Wroxham and Southampton.
'As a passionate advocate of Oyster Yachts and a lifelong sailor, I'm firmly committed to re-establish Oyster as the premium designer and manufacturer of yachts in the world.'
Oyster ran into trouble due to the fall out from a yacht sinking off Spain in 2015 but had announced an £80m forward order book for 2018 before the administration.
