Visitors to Pensthorpe Natural Park’s Bird and Wildlife Fair helped raise £2,150, which has been given to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust.

A percentage of profits from the fair were donated to the trust by Bill and Deb Jordan, owners of the park.

David Thompson, chairman of Norfolk Wildlife Trust, said: "We are really grateful for this donation.

"It is going to be used towards the maintenance and improvement of our wetlands, many of which are of international importance. It takes a lot of management, a lot of care and a lot of detailed attention, so thank you."

Meanwhile, about 800 people turned out to the park's new summer market, shopping along side groups of ducklings who waddled through the stalls.

The Christmas Market will return on Sunday November 24.
