Staff from a Norfolk kitchens and bathrooms specialist took to the skies for a business trip with a difference.

The team from Norwich Bathrooms and Kitchens (NBK) enlisted the help of charter flight operator SaxonAir to get them to a supplier meeting in Hereford.

Five employees were joined by a company rep from the supplier, NBK’s sole supplier of bathroom furniture and fittings, for the flight on Thursday from Norwich Airport. They left from SaxonAir’s hangar aboard one of its new G-KLNH Augusta AW109 helicopters.

Gareth Pendleton from NBK said travelling by air had condensed a two or three day trip into one day, and was also “a bit of fun for the staff”.

“It was suggested by the supplier that they could offer this,” he said.

“We often do staff events. We have close to 50 staff who are spread out across Norfolk but we can organise events for different groups.”
