The new branch in Thetford will open at Londis in Anna Gurney Close on Friday, November 11.
It will be fitted out with new low-screened, open-plan counters and customers will be able to carry out Post Office transactions alongside retail purchases.
Post Office services will be available seven days a week during the store's opening hours – Monday to Saturday 6.30am to 8pm and Sunday 7.30am to 2pm – offering customers 87.5 hours of Post Office services a week.
Currently the nearest branch is in Thetford town centre, more than a mile away. While is offers a wider range of services, the new branch at Londis will enable customers to carry out basic transactions.
Baldev Kahlon, Post Office field change advisor, said: 'We recognised the gap in our existing Post Office branch network and are delighted to be opening a brand new local branch, with extended opening hours and a Sunday service, to meet the needs of this residential and business community.'
