An exciting new cycling event based on the famous Paris-Roubaix will be held in April.

The Southwold Roubaix, which is being organised by Pedal Revolution in partnership with Adnams, is a tribute to the 160 mile ‘Paris – Roubaix’ which is raced mostly on cobbles and unmade roads. The event is renowned for its crashes, broken bikes and exhausted riders.

However, organisers of the Southwold event, which is being held on April 8 (the same day as the famed race), said it would not be as arduous but will include rough sections.

The roughly 75 mile route will head to Woodbridge where riders will have lunch before heading back to Southwold with an optional three mile tough hero lap.

A Southwold Sportive featuring a 25 mile, 50 mile or a family friendly route will also be avilable.

Entries are on sale at Pedal Revolution stores or online at: Pedal Revolution
