A quirky day-long celebration is set to bring a little added zest as the days turn colder.
The eighth annual Wymondham Lemon Day will sweep the town on Saturday November 3 between 10am and 1pm, celebrating “all things lemon” in an effort to unite the community.
Organiser, Tony Vale, said the unique theme was chosen for its multitude of sensory opportunities, from taste to colour to smell.
Residents are being encouraged to adorn themselves in yellow to show their support for the community wide celebration and visit the citrus transformed town centre.
This year’s programme will feature musical entertainment by Wymondham Ukelele Group and singer John Beckett at the Wymondham Baptist church, accompanied by citrusy bites at Roots Café.
A performance of a specially penned radio play, written by Mr Vale in honour of the quirky day, will also be held at the church.
Other edible offerings will include light bites from the team at The White Hart pub on Market Street and food sampling at Waitrose on Norwich Road.
