Business advisers Larking Gowen has announced the appointment of a senior figure from a rival firm.

Anders Rasmussen has joined as partner, having previously been corporate partner at Grant Thornton in Norwich, in a move Larking Gowen said would develop their corporate offering.

Mr Rasmussen was born and educated in Norfolk and attended the University of Birmingham. He joined the Norwich practice of KPMG in 1988 and then moved to Grant Thornton in 2000.

Apart from a short spell in London and two secondments in industry, he has spent the majority of his career working in the East Anglian market advising businesses of all sizes and not-for-profit organisations.

Mr Rasmussen said: 'We have ambitious growth plans which build on the firm's position as a leading business advisor in the region and I very much look forward to being part of that.'

Jon Woolston, managing partner at Larking Gowen, said: 'We are delighted to be welcoming Anders to join our corporate practice here at Larking Gowen. Anders has an outstanding reputation and his experience and expertise will bring real value to our clients and our people across the region.'
