A company has been presented with a special award to recognise its fundraising efforts for a regional charity.

Snetterton-based Johnston Logistics UK was honoured for its support of East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) Ride for Life which raised £23,000 last year.

The event takes three days and starts and finishes at Johnston Logistics, visiting EACH's three hospices – The Treehouse in Ipswich, Milton just north of Cambridge and Quidenham in the Norfolk countryside – in between.

Rob McIndoe, director, said: 'We're always delighted to support EACH. They do something truly amazing for children and families when they need it most. It's great to host the start and help raise awareness of the event, even if it does mean I have to get on my own bike and put in the miles.'

This year's challenge takes place on July 20, with entries closing on June 20. To book a place contact Emma Benstead on 01953666770.
