A regional law firm has been commended for its work to help tackle youth unemployment in Norwich.

Howes Percival has received a bronze award from the Norwich for Jobs scheme, which is spearheaded by Norwich North MP Chloe Smith and the city’s Jobcentre Plus.

The voluntary project – which began its third phase in September – aims to reduce unemployment among 18 to 24-year-olds, with businesses offering apprenticeships, work tasters and CV and interview support.

Over the past year Howes Percival has supported the initiative by running mock interviews, giving training on writing CVs and offering advice and support at the Norwich for Jobs club.

Nicola Curle, director at Howes Percival said: “Working with young people on realising their employment potential has been incredibly rewarding and we look forward to continuing our work with Norwich for Jobs.”
