Businesses across the region have been urged to help influence the government's agenda as it negotiates concessions ahead of the EU referendum.

Half of the senior businesspeople polled in a new British Chambers of Commerce survey revealed the concessions the prime minister brought back from Brussels would have an impact on their vote.

The survey said if a referendum took place tomorrow, 63pc of businesspeople would vote to remain in the EU, 27pc would vote to leave and 10pc were unsure.

But half of them said their vote could change, depending on David Cameron's negotiating package. Norfolk Chamber chief executive Caroline Williams said: 'We acknowledge there is limited information as to what the government's negotiating stance is, so we will continue to monitor and listen to the Norfolk business community over the next few months. It is essential the business community does influence the Government's agenda so do let us know your views.'
