A popular north Norfolk vintage farming day celebrates its tenth anniversary when it returns this weekend.

The Skeyton Michaelmas Trosh will bring working displays of bygone agricultural machinery to the village near Aylsham, on Sunday.

Event organiser Graham Kirk said: 'The event started with about 50 people attending, and a bucket for donations in the hope to recover enough to cover some of the expenditure. The bucket was retained as a memento.

'The main objectives have always been to organise an event with a variety of interesting aspects for those attending. The event has grown over the years and it has been very rewarding to be able to give sizeable donations to various local good causes.'

As well as traditional working displays of ploughing, cultivating and steam engines, attractions also include two sets of threshing machines from different periods. There will also be two special themes this year – combining and baling, and a display of farmyard manure loading and spreading.

Vintage equipment being used will include an Allis-Chalmers Gleaner combine and an International Harvester manure spreader.

• Skeyton Trosh takes place from 10am on Sunday September 30 at Brecks Farm, Skeyton, NR10 5AW.
