A food processing equipment manufacturer in Norwich has expanded its European footprint with a contract to supply a Greek gluten-free snack specialist.

Fabcon Food Systems has signed the deal with family-owned company Unismack, which has seen the firm install a seasoning system at Unismack’s bakery facility in Kilkis, northern Greece.

The partnership is also supporting the Greek firm’s UK launch of a new line of gluten-free snacks.

Managing director of Fabcon Trevor Howard said the new system, which enables continuous seasoning during baking, was a “big step forward” for Unismack.

“With further expansion planned, we hope to work with Unismack even more in the years ahead as we continue to expand our customer base in Europe and beyond,” he said.

Dimitrios Stratakis, managing director of Unismack, said the system’s installation was “another milestone” for the company in the UK market.
